The BOS is set to blow the lid off its 2018 calendar – Saturday, May 12th – with the first of this year’s Ogilvie’s Auto & Fleet Triple Crown Series. Catch the best 358 Modified stars in Eastern Ontario tackle the popular 3/8th mile clay oval for 50 laps, while the Sportsman-Modified teams battle contest a 40 lap ‘A’ main. Also on the opening night schedule will be the Rookie Sportsman, Mini Stock and Street Stock divisions. Gates open at 5:00 and the night’s first green flag is set to fly at 7:00.
There is something for everyone this year at Brockville Ontario Speedway, but the special event focus is heavily skewed toward fans of the Small Block Mods. The 1000 Islands RV Border Battle events – June 9th and July 14th – will see the 358’s run 50 lap features for a $2000 payday, while the inaugural Bullringer 110 – presented by RTD Trailers – Wednesday, August 8th offers $10,000 to the winner of the 110 lap headline tilt. Track owner and promoter Paul Kirkland says the 2018 schedule is action-packed.
“We’re always listening to the fans and work hard to give them what they’re after,” Paul Kirkland said. “Social media is an excellent promotional resource and based on what we’re hearing and reading, we’re headed in the right direction. Our team has put together a busy schedule that will offer some great racing throughout the entire season.”
Sprint Car lovers will get their fix at The BOS this year too. The Patriot Sprint Group checks in as part of the full program July 21st, with the ESS Lucas Oil Sprints on hand August 18th. Saturday, October 13th an Open 360 Sprint Show is scheduled during the Loud & Dirty Brand Fall Nationals.
And on the subject of the 2018 DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals – the first edition under the new title sponsor – Friday, October 12th will feature the DIRT Big Blocks, Ogilvie’s Triple Crown Sportsman-Modified finale, Pro Stocks and Outlaw Vintage. Saturday, October 13th has the Ogilvie’s Small Block Mod Series 100 lap crowning event, 360 Sprints and invitational 30 lap main events for Street Stock and Mini Stock teams.
