“Our program may have come together a little later than in previous seasons, but I’ve made a lot of good friends over the years and I’m sure that everything will be set to roll once the green flag waves,” admitted the driver. “The division name may have changed, but things aren’t much different from when I ran these cars from 2003 to 2006. Racing at this level is still about having fun and I’m happy to be back at the track.”
In addition to running his own equipment on a week-to-week basis, Turner says he once again expects to spend some time as a relief driver during the upcoming schedule. In 2018, the driver – who celebrated his 36th birthday in March – ran his own DIRTcar 358 Modified to several mid-pack finishes and also wheeled Austin King’s Late Model to a couple of second place runs and multiple top fives. He time-trailed fastest for Brighton’s Great Crate Race, logged a top 10 finish in relief of Kyle Sopaz and ran Travis Coates’ Thunder Stock at Merrittville Speedway.
Armed with a casual, fun-loving attitude that is popular with family, friends and fans, Turner’s #92 machine will be a welcome addition to the Thunder Stock ranks at Brighton Speedway and the Street Stock wars at The BOS. The driver thanks his team including Robert Pounder, Jeffrey Holmes, Will McIntyre, his wife Stephanie and his parents Paul and Pat Turner for their help and support this year and throughout his career. Special thanks to Kyle Sopaz for his help in getting the new car ready for action.
“I think we got things together a little too late to worry about running for points anywhere so instead, we’ll just focus on having a good time,” Adam Turner said. “An issue with a bad fuel pump may have sidelined the car on the first night out, but I’m confident that we’ll get things back together and be ready to go again.”
Adam Turner’s 2019 program is proudly supported by OPSEU, Village Variety, The Work Gear, Paul Turner Auto Repair, Mark’s County Chips, Gates Race Designs, Angie’s Pooper Pumping Septic Service, Under Pressure Power Washing, Mayhew Graphics, Showtime Motorsports and Clarke Motorsports Communications.
