Freelton, ON (June 24, 2017)- After coming close throughout his rookie campaign last year, Luke Gignac was finally able to break through for his first career OSCAAR Modified victory at Flamboro Speedway.

Gignac started off the night on a great note, scoring a runner-up in both of his heats.

Starting second for the feature, he took the lead on the opening lap and never looked back, extending out to a solid lead over the course of the feature. There would be a late caution as a result of an on-track incident, but that didn’t take phase Gignac as he got a good restart, leading flag-to-flag en route to his first career victory.

With the third straight top-five of the season, Gignac currently leads the OSCAAR standings, a single point ahead of AJ Emms.

Gignac and ADAMS Motorsports will be back in action at Sauble Speedway this weekend on July 1.
