Mat Williamson from St. Catharines, Ontario won the $2,666.66 third annual Brian Stevens Memorial on Zavitz Financial Strategies & Z.F.S Benefit Solutions Night at the Merrittville Speedway on Victoria Day Monday. 


The Victoria Day Weekend Drags, held May 19-21 at Toronto Motorsports Park (Cayuga, ON), was the first major drag racing event of the 2017 season in Ontario. With the NAPA Auto Pro Ultimate Showdown Series bringing out some of the area’s best Pro Mods, Alcohol Funnycars, Extreme 10.5, Top Sportsman and Top Dragster cars, it was scheduled to be a jam-packed event. The Can-Am Stock/Superstock Series and Race Cayuga Sportsman Series were also on the very busy bill, while jet car exhibitions and a Top Fuel Dragster pass added to the excitement.


HAMILTON, ON – On Saturday, May 13, Flamboro Speedway played host to several races, including the season opener for the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series, Mini Stocks, Pure Stocks, the Lucas Oil Can-Am Midgets and Ontario Pro Challenge.

BOWMANVILLE, ON – On Wednesday, May 3, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park played host to a 'Test & Tune' day for the NASCAR Pinty's Series, which opens its 2017 season at the legendary road course on May 21.

THOROLD, ON - On Saturday, April 22, Merrittville Speedway held its annual Spring Sizzler event. For the third time in as many seasons, “Racin” Jason Barney from Constantia, NY took the lead late from Chris Steele to pick up the A-Main victory for the Patriot Sprint Tour as part of the 2017 Spring Sizzler presented by Peters Excavating at the Merrittville Speedway on Saturday evening. Tim Jones from Port Robinson Ontario won the main event for the Pinty’s 358 Modifieds while “Mr. Excitement” Paul Gaboury won the feature for the S&W Service Centre Sportsman.


The annual SEMA show took place at the Las Vegas Convention Centre in early November. In addition to over a million square feet of displays, there were thousands of vehicles on display, many of them related to motorsports.
